Dear Excel Academy Families and Community Partners, 

Welcome to Excel Academy! As the principal of Excel Academy, I am incredibly proud to lead a school where every learner is truly valued, and where we strive for excellence grounded in trust, fueled by growth, and supported by a connected community. We are here to make it happen for every single student.

At Excel Academy, our mission is clear: to engage every student in learning opportunities that cultivate academic and behavioral growth, shaping learners who positively impact their community. We are a specialized K-8 program, designed to support students with diverse social, emotional, and behavior needs, and our dedicated team of credentialed Special Education professionals brings expertise and compassion to this vital work.

We believe in a powerful partnership. We know that when students, families, and community organizations work together, amazing things happen. On this site, you'll find resources specifically designed to support you, from understanding your child's IEP and our specialized social-emotional services to connecting with local support networks here in Shasta County. Our goal is always to equip our students with the self-regulation, coping mechanisms, and social-emotional competencies they need for a successful transition back to their district schools. 

As our mascot, the phoenix, symbolizes, we believe in the incredible capacity for every student to rise, learn, and soar. We are committed to igniting their potential and fueling their futures.
