Who We Are

Excel Academy is a specialized K-8 program in Shasta County, designed to support students with diverse social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Our team of credentialed Special Education professionals brings expertise in delivering individualized, compassionate support. With a focus on positive behavior interventions and creating inclusive learning environments, our staff is dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential.

What We Do

At Excel Academy, we work in partnership with students, families, and community organizations to foster the skills and strategies students need for both academic and personal success. Through individualized support plans, we help students build self-regulation, coping mechanisms, and social-emotional competencies. Our research-based and data-driven approaches are designed to prepare students for a successful transition back to their district schools. We also collaborate with local mental health and social service providers to ensure holistic support for each student's growth and well-being.

Who We Serve

Excel Academy serves K-8 Students who experience challenges in regulating their emotions and behaviors, and who may require additional support beyond what their district schools can provide. These students are placed at Excel Academy through district referrals and must have an active Individualized Education Program (IEP). Our program is designed to meet the unique needs of each student, with the goal of equipping them with the skills necessary for a successful return to their district school.
